Triathlon training Malaga – for athletes who want 6 days of challenging triathlon sessions and fun and challenging.  Learn the best tips for getting faster in Triathlon during these great days of training.

Itinerary

Day 1
  • Check In. Welcome and “Get to know you” chat with Bella and Stephen.
  • Afternoon easy run.
Day 2
  • Morning swim open water session with a talk on what is the most effective technique and training for you.
  • Mid-day run session with short intervals on the gravel paths beside the Guadlehorce River. 
  • Afternoon Ride to Alhaurin el Grande, coffee stop, and ride home. 
Day 3
  • Morning Swim session Torremolinos pool.
  • Midday Bike, hilly ride, Mijas.  
  • Optional run off the bike.
Day 4
  • Morning Run along the Guadlehorce River.  Build pace run, to suit indiviually.
  • Midday Sea swim. 
  • Ride to Pizzara, coffee, ride home. 
Day 5
  • Pool swim. Effective training session, with work on the best technique for a faster swim.
  • Afternoon Long easy ride on the smooth undulating roads to Coín and Sierra de las Nieves. 
Day 6

Morning jog.

About the local area

The area around Málaga offers mountain roads and trails but also slightly less challenging roads where you can quickly clock up the kilometres while enjoying the scenery and the occasional coffee/tapas stop to refuel and rest. Some triathlon training Malaga camp highlights are:

  • Cycling in Axarquía, Almogía, Pizarra or Sierra de las Nieves
  • Guadalhorce Nature Reserve, a place with more than 15 km of tracks with different combinations
  • Outdoor swim sessions in heated pool and in the sea
  • Run along the Paseo Marítimo
