Brilliant facilities, roads, mountains, sea and trails, all in and around the beautiful Malaga region. Guided and coached by Bella and Stephen Bayliss. This great triathlon training camp Malaga is focused on fun experiences as well as some great triathlon sessions. All are welcome,  great training together with leisure activities in the fantastic Malaga area.

Itinerary

Day 1
  • Check in.
  • Afternoon easy run.
Day 2
 
  • Morning swim open water session with a talk on what is the most effective technique and training for you.
  • Mid-day run session with short intervals on the gravel paths beside the Guadlehorce River. 
  • Afternoon Ride to Alhaurin el Grande, coffee stop, and ride home. 
Day 3
  • Bike to Mijas through the Sierra de Mijas, with beautiful sea views and through olive, orange and almond tree groves.
  • Afternoon trip to beautiful waterfall in the Tollox area.
Day 4
  • Morning practise open water swimming at Torremolinos Beach. In water support from Bella and Stephen if there are any nervous swimmers.
  • Midday Run to Benalmedena.
  • Afternoon Cable Car trip to Monte Calamorro, highest point in Malaga. 
Day 5
  • Morning Bike through the Montes del Malaga Natural Park and for those that feel strong can climb to the Puerto del Leon.
  • Afternoon late lunch in the Puerto de Malaga (to be paid individually) and walk along Muelle Uno.
Day 6
Check out.

About the local area

The area around Málaga offers mountain roads and trails but also slightly less challenging roads where you can quickly clock up the kilometres while enjoying the scenery and the occasional coffee/tapas stop to refuel and rest. Some camp highlights are:

  • Cycling in Axarquía, Almogía, Pizarra or Sierra de las Nieves
  • Guadalhorce Nature Reserve, a place with more than 15 km of tracks with different combinations
  • Outdoor swim sessions in heated pool and in the sea
  • Run along the Paseo Marítimo
